For the Salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Freshness is key here; purchase from local seafood markets if possible.
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning You can make your own if you don’t have it handy.

  • pepper to taste pepper Essential for enhancing flavors.

For the Avocado Lime Sauce

  • 2 pieces avocados Use ripe avocados that yield to gentle pressure.
  • 1 piece lime (juiced) Adds a zingy flavor boost.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt Greek yogurt gives higher protein content.
  • salt to taste salt For flavor enhancement.
  • pepper to taste pepper For flavor enhancement.
  • fresh cilantro for garnish fresh cilantro Adds color and freshness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Season salmon with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Bake salmon in preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until cooked through.
  • While the salmon is baking, prepare the avocado lime sauce by blending together avocados, lime juice, sour cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Once the salmon is done, remove from oven and top with creamy avocado lime sauce.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. The avocado lime sauce can be made a day in advance. You can freeze the cooked salmon for up to a month.
