  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder Helps the bars rise.

  • 1 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional) For added texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl using your hands or a fork.
  • Add the rolled oats, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, nut butter, baking powder, and salt to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  • If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Check doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean.

Cooling and Serving

  • Let the bars cool before cutting them into squares.
  • Enjoy plain, with coffee, or alongside Greek yogurt.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days or in the fridge for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
