Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  • Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped maraschino cherries.
  • Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet, flattening them slightly.
