Ingredients
  

For the Marinade

  • 1/2 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup lime juice Freshly squeezed is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced For a robust flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce For umami flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Aids in caramelization during grilling.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin Adds warm spice.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential for flavor enhancement.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper For a bit of heat.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, cumin, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
  • Place the skirt steak into a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the steak.
  • Seal the bag, ensuring to press out all the air, and then flip it to coat the steak thoroughly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the steak from the marinade, discarding the excess marinade.
  • Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for a perfect medium-rare finish.
  • Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Notes

For best results, allow the steak to marinate for a longer time. Use fresh citrus juice for optimal flavor.
