Preparation

  • Marinate the chicken by whisking together buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Submerge chicken breasts and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Prepare the dredging station by whisking together flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne in a shallow dish.
  • Remove chicken from marinade, dredge in flour mixture, and place on a wire rack.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Drain cooked chicken on a wire rack lined with paper towels.

Dressing Preparation

  • Whisk together mayonnaise, Parmesan, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, Worcestershire, and black pepper.
  • Slowly drizzle in olive oil while whisking to emulsify.

Assembly

  • Spread Caesar dressing on both halves of each bun. Layer with romaine lettuce, crispy chicken, shaved Parmesan, and optional tomato slices.
