  • 3/4 cup warm water Think baby bathtub warm – not scalding.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For richness and a nice flavor kick.

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup marinara sauce Grab your favorite jar, or make it fresh if you’re ambitious.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Just enough to add a little flair.
  • 1 sprinkle garlic powder Because pizza without garlic is just sad.

For Toppings (Personalize it!)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese The classic choice, but try different cheese for fun.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt until well combined.
  • Pour in warm water and olive oil. Stir with a wooden spoon or your hands.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Lightly oil a bowl and place your ball of dough in it. Cover it and let it rise in a warm place for about 30-60 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F and if you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  • Punch down the dough, shape it into a circle about 10-12 inches in diameter on a floured surface.
  • Spread marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a little room at the edges for the crust.
  • Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and garlic powder over the sauce.
  • Add shredded mozzarella cheese, your choice of protein, and toppings.
  • Bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  • Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the oven is preheated and avoid overloading on sauce to prevent sogginess. Experiment with different flour types or add herbs to the dough for extra flavor.
