  • 4 slices Sourdough Bread Artisan loaf recommended. Avoid pre-sliced.
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese Use whole milk for richness.
  • 2 medium Fresh Tomatoes Heirloom or vine-ripened preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Extra virgin recommended.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs (Basil or Parsley) Can substitute with any available herbs.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your toaster or oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place slices of sourdough on a baking tray and toast until golden and crispy.

Assembly

  • Spread a generous scoop of ricotta over each toasted slice.
  • Slice fresh tomatoes thickly and place them on top of the ricotta.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.
  • Drizzle olive oil on top of the assembled toast.
  • Sprinkle fresh herbs over the top before serving.

Notes

Use quality sourdough for the best texture. Avoid soggy bread by not over-soaking with olive oil.
