Finishing Touch

  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar For sprinkling over pancakes.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.

Cooking

  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat, lightly greasing it if needed.
  • Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  • Remove from skillet and immediately sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter. Don't skimp on the cinnamon sugar for best flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the microwave or toaster for fresh servings.
