  • 2 pcs Shallots Milder than onions.
  • 1/4 cup Chicken Broth Keeps everything moist.
  • 1 tsp Fish Sauce Adds umami flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce Key for authentic flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce Balances the richness.
  • 1 tsp Sugar Balances sauce flavors.
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil For sautéing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add chopped shallots and minced garlic; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until browned.
  • Add sliced bell pepper and red chili; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth, fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper; stir well and let simmer.
  • Remove from heat, mix in fresh basil leaves until wilted.
  • Serve hot over jasmine rice.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality, fresh ingredients. Store leftover chicken in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To freeze, do so before adding basil.
